Applying for a transfer


Submission of transfer documents

  • start date: the end of the academic year at your current university (documents issued by your university before the end of the current academic year will not be accepted)
  • end date: 15 August 2019


Transfers are only possible at the beginning of an academic year. Transfers in the middle of an academic year (e.g. to the summer semester) are not possible.

Transfers to the remaining English-taught programmes offered by NCU Collegium Medicum in Bydgoszcz (i.e. Nursing, Physiotherapy, Laboratory medicine) are not possible. If you are interested in any of those programs, you can only apply for admission to the 1st year.

Documents specified in points 1 and 8 must be downloaded from this website.

I. What documents are required when applying for a transfer?

  1. a completed APPLICATION FORM38 KBAPPLICATION FORM for Polish citizens49.5 KB

  2. Upper Secondary School-Leaving Certificate* (so-called: "Maturity Certificate") or other document obtained abroad that:
    • is issued in English or is a certified translation into English,
    • is validated (legalized) or affixed with apostille;

  3. a document with a statement confirming the candidate's right to apply to higher education institutions in candidate's home country (if it is not already on candidate's diploma);

  4. a letter addressed to the Director of the Centre for Medical Education in English at NCU Collegium Medicum, prof. dr hab. Arkadiusz Jawień, explaining the reason or motivation behind the wish to transfer;

  5. confirmation of English language proficiency (The list of documents certifying candidate's proper knowledge of English: FCE, CAE, CPE, BEC 2, BEC (3), CEIBT- certificates issued by University Cambridge Local Examination Syndicate (at least "pass"); IELTS (at least 6.5 points); TOEFL 500 in tests, at least 3.5 points in writing test (TWE) and 200 points in speaking exam (TSE) issued by Education Testing Service.);

  6. confirmation of student status issued no later than 30 days before applying for a transfer;

  7. plan of studies from the current university (number of hours, types of classes, form of credit, ECTS points);

  8. transcript of records issued by the current university (number of hours, types of classes, form of credit, ECTS points);

  9. a valid HEALTH CERTIFICATE31 KB that confirms the ability to take up studies;

  10. a certified copy of the passport;

  11. a certified copy of the health insurance;

  12. 4 valid passport photos with uncovered head;

  13. (only when applying for a transfer from a Polish university) - a document confirming that you have fulfilled all the requirements of your current university and are able to transfer, signed by the university's authorities.

* If candidate's upper secondary school diploma was not issued by any of the EU/EFTA/OECD countries (Great Britain, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Spain, Netherland, Ireland, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Latvia, Malta, Germany, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Sweden, Hungary, Italy, Canada, USA, Turkey, Japan, North Korea, New Zealand, Chile, Israel), it needs to be recognized in Poland through an administrative recognition procedure performed by the province education superintendent (kurator oświaty).
The administrative procedure carried out by kurator oświaty should be finished before the end of 1st semester of studies.
