New waste segregation rules in Poland

New year provides a great opportunity to implement environmentally friendly solutions on a larger scale. This is why new waste segregation rules have been introduced in Poland, valid as of 1 January 2020. The improved system contributes to reducing the production of plastic, the emission of toxic gases, as well as the size of landfill sites. This is done by separating recyclable materials from non-recyclable items.

Validity of student ID cards prolonged

In relation to introducing the state of epidemic threat in Poland, the Minister of Science and Higher Education has decided that the validity of all student IDs shall be automatically extended until 31 May 2020. There is no need to personally visit the dean’s offices in order to prolong your ID validity. The relevant regulation was issued on 12 March 2020.

Prof. Kornelia Kędziora-Kornatowska, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and head of the Department of Geriatrics at the said faculty, has been elected Vice-Rector for Collegium Medicum.
