Summer practice programs

Summer work placement (summer practice) in the academic year 2016/2017

Due to repeating problems with the work placement, we would like to inform you that you are obliged to inform prof. A. Jawień about your summer work placement (summer practice) in writing by 31st May 2017. The information must include the name and address of the hospital/clinic, name of the ward as well as contact person's name with the contact telephone number if known by the student. If you would like to do the summer practice in Bydgoszcz, you do not need to put the name of the hospital etc.

The paper with the above-mentioned information has to be delivered to the office and accepted by prof. A. Jawień

Remember about the type and place of practice:

1st year students - a 4-week nursing practice in clinics or at hospital wards;
2nd year students - a 3-week work placement within outpatient health care (family doctor) and a 1-week work placement within medical aid at the hospital emergency department;
3rd year students - a 4-week work placement in the Internal Diseases Clinic or on Internal Diseases Hospital Ward;

* If you indicate the place which does not match the above it will not be accepted.

If the information is not received by 31st May 2017:
you will be obliged to do the summer work placement in Poland in the period and place set by prof. A. Jawień (during July-September 2017).
Please note that summer work placement done in any other place than accepted by prof. A. Jawień will not be approved and will cause failing the year.

After completing summer work placement each student needs to deliver a filled in practice program (you need your supervisor to sign and stamp it with his/her stamp as well as the stamp of the hospital) to the office by 20th September 2017. Practice programs can be downloaded from this website (see: files listed below).

All tasks listed on the practice program need to be accomplished.

Since summer work placement is a part of the plan of study, it is necessary to receive a 'credit' which will be given to you after delivering a filled in practice program from the place accepted by prof. A. Jawień. Lack of credit means failing the year.
